Production support is the procedure of backing up the IT systems and applications which are presently used by the end users. A production support person or a team holds the responsibility of receiving occurrences and requests from end-users, investigating these and either replying to the end user with a perfect solution or raising it to the other teams. These teams might include developers, system engineers and database administrators.
